A quick update to highlight firstly, the Flash book upgrades you'll now find available for Issue 1 and 2. Felicity has always been presented in a virtual flip-book and now that experience should be slick to the max. Reading Felicity now includes a Page jump, Page counter, Front and Back cover flips(so you can check out the book just like you would picking it up in a store)and a zoom functionality!
The biggest difference is the pages now load independently rather than altogether so you should find a very fast and smooth reading experience. You'll notice the new toolbar directly beneath the comic, which includes functions such as a page counter at the bottom left, where if you manually type a page number in there and click the arrow right next to it- you can hop instantly to a page. At the moment the comics are still performing on their Lower-Res versions(which were the optimized versions for the previous flashbooks to minimize loading)High Resolution comics with some pampering here and there are to come in the new year.
In stark contrast to flashbooks, the Issue 3 Preview is coming to an end this weekend, and will be totalling at 14 pages. To clarify also, the full Issue will be released upon completion as the regular Flashbookpresentation and will total at a much grander 80 pages or so. The preview was simply that, a preview- a taste of what to expect visually and storywise from Issue 3: Parole. For anyone curious about what was revealed in the Preview, the section is all in sequence(no scenes missing in between)and is cut from about 1/5th of the way through the Issue, so you can expect some stuff to be happening before 99 faces D.I Winters in the i interrogation wings.
The presentation will remain a traditional webcomic format until this weekend, afterwhich you'll find those 14 pages presented in the familiar flashbook format along with more information about when the entire Issue will be available. I've had mixed responses to the presentation method involved for the preview with folk meeting in the middle about whelther or not they like a standard webcomic setup for Felicity, if it becomes voiced enough I will be implementing a archived version of all the comics at a later date- I want readers to enjoy reading my stories so if there are some of you who want a more traditional method then I'll want to provide that!
Thanks again for reading and please get in touch if you've any feedback on presentation and your thoughts about it!
